Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park – 30 min drive NE from Trochu – Named for a flat-topped mesa called a “dry island” that rises 130 metres above the Red Deer River. In the distance you can see the grassy cliff-top of an ancient buffalo jump. Camping season May to September at Tolman.
Discovery Wildlife Park – 45 min drive NW from Trochu – A 90 acre zoo located in Innisfail, Alberta. Their goal is to educate the public about wildlife rescue and conservation and what we as humans can do to help preserve and protect wildlife.
